Menemen (Turkish Scrambled Eggs)


Description

Menemen is essentially a Turkish scrambled eggs recipe that can be prepared in just one pan, and in as little as 20 minutes! It’s a wonderful vegetarian breakfast that everyone is sure to love.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 green peppers
  • 4 large eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the peppers and tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over low-medium heat and add the peppers. Allow the peppers to cook until soft. About, 2 or 3 minutes. 
  3. Add the tomatoes, and cook until they release their juice and soften. Add the eggs.
  4. Mix until combined. Cook over low-heat for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve, and become the most loved person in the house.
